If you hire a wedding videographer, you can kick back and relax on your wedding day, and leave the work to professionals
You might think as a wedding videographer, that when I got married I had some hand to play in the filming of the video.
But actually, the only influence I had in it was hiring a wedding videographer in the first place – the last thing I wanted to be doing was thinking about work! I didn’t even put the microphone on myself before the ceremony and speeches.
I trusted the videographer, so I just left them to it. And that’s exactly what I want you to do when you hire me to film your wedding video.
Wedding videographers know what to do if things don’t go entirely to plan
You plan your wedding day down to the tiniest details, but unfortunately, things don’t always go the way you want them to on your wedding day.
You might have to move your photos inside because it’s tipping it down (we did); or perhaps you get to the front of the aisle and realise you’re standing on the wrong side.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where everything has gone perfectly! It’s totally ok for things to go wrong, and part of that is because you can trust your suppliers to be professional and change their plans.
I do this all the time, and know what works and what doesn’t. So if you don’t think your guests will want to leave the dancefloor for the sparklers, I know from experience that it still looks as good at dusk as it does the middle of the night.

Working as a team with other wedding suppliers to make your day amazing
As you can imagine, wedding photographers and videographers often want similar shots, which means standing around each other for a lot of the day.
But you don’t have to worry about Mean Girls-esque elbowing each other in the stomach to get prime position.
I’ll chat beforehand to the photographers, as I know I’m more used to working with photographers than they often are working with videographers.
As a result, everything runs super smoothly, and we dance around each other like a well rehearsed tango. That’s a ten from Len Goodman!

All the details are organised way before the wedding day
I always meet with couples about three weeks before their big day: this is close enough that all the details are now ironed out, but long enough away that you’ve still got time for a natter.
In this meeting we chat about everything: order of walking down the aisle; who is doing speeches; and any personal moments you’re desperate to be filmed.
This means that by first light on your wedding day, everything is structured and planned already. I know exactly where I need to be and when, so don’t need to hassle you asking questions.
So just kick back and relax with your beloved on your wedding day; hire a wedding videographer and you won’t have to worry about your video for a second.
